Alan sets off on a generic quest to rescue the (hobbit?) village's daughter, and ends up on a quest to defeat demons and reclaim two magical crystals. First, though, you have to sit through an animated intro, and finally get to the game screen with the sidebar princess, but entirely black. Then you need to put the user disk in Drive B to start the actual game. Controls are done with the keyboard and number keys.

This game saw a number of ports, both to the PC-Engine and MSX.
